Open City Media, LLC was founded by Laura Jones in 2002. Open City Media specializes in all aspects of media production, content development, communications, events, marketing products, and public relations, and was founded with the idea of bringing an open mind and a new perspective to content and media development.

The name Open City Media represents our commitment to approaching each new project with an open mind, a new sense of purpose, and a broad sense of scope and possibility. (It is also the English translation of the title of one of our favorite films, Roma: Citta Aperta).

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Open City Media counts among it's clients a number of influential local businesses, including Victor Emanuel Nature Tours and Galan Productions.

Prior to founding Open City Media, Laura worked for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, where she coordinated program proposals and grants in the Television and New Media division. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Radio, Television and Film.
